Fragrance fit for a Queen

Cunard Line, operators of the most famous ocean liners in the world, will be providing passengers on its most luxurious and high-profile ship, the Queen Mary 2, with an extra-sensory experience intended to relax and refresh with the help of the innovative state-of-the-art ST Pro machine.

The ST Pro is designed to stimulate the sense of smell by dispersing safe and clean aromas into the atmosphere. Cunard has purchased 6 machines, and a range of essences including lavender, camomile and oceanic, to be used in both the Atrium and the Winter Gardens of the Queen Mary 2 to create a refreshing and relaxing environment for passengers and staff.

Warrington-based Scent Technologies Ltd. developed the ST Pro, which works on the principal of Venturi Airflow and uses essences specially formulated for the machine. Unlike other fragrance generators that work by heating, spraying or vibrating essences, the ST Pro does not use vibration or heat of any kind and therefore will not promote the breeding of bacteria, or produce residue or sedimentation. The machine is able to emit an array of scents within seconds and can also be used to neutralise unpleasant odours quickly and thoroughly.

Loretta MacInnes, Marketing Director of Scent Technologies Ltd., stated, "We are delighted to have secured the company's first order from Cunard. We expect the ST Pro will add that little extra to what will no doubt be a truly luxurious and memorable cruise experience".

The ST Pro produces pure scent using Venturi Airflow and can be used as a stand alone machine, or as part of a group controlled via DMX 512. It utilises a huge range of specially formulated essences plus any fragrance made to order.
